The new Snowie lamps from Luxa make use of the same glistening frost-effect film that has made our Sparkler range the best-seller for the last two years. With the Snowies, rather than printing onto the frost-film, we first coat the outside of the glass with a metallic layer to reflect back inside all the light from the warm white LEDs, and then we cover this with a layer of Christmas crimson paint which has an amazing look and feel of satin. The really cool bit is when a fine laser programmed with our Winter design burns off these two layers of paint back to the frosted glass to reveal a bright, sparkling Christmas forest scene with Santa and his reindeer flying overhead. Just awesome !.
