Luxa are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our Customers - past, present and future.  This policy applies in our capacity as Data Controller with respect to the personal data of our Customers. 

What data we hold

We process your Account Data (“Account Data” in GDPR jargon) to contact you regarding our business transactions.  We collect this information when you enquire about or buy products from us, and we maintain a customer database in our Accounting system and hosted in our trade website, www.luxalondon.com .  The legal basis for this processing is the “appropriate communication with our customers”.

The account data that we hold is your name, Company name, e-mail address, telephone number and business or delivery address  -  nothing more personal than that.

We process information that you provided to us for the purpose of sending e-mail notifications and/or newsletters (this is called “Notification Data”).  The Notification Data may be processed for the purposes of sending you, from time to time, information about our products and services through our Newsletter. We maintain this database in Mailchimp, a GDPR certified provider.  Again, the legal basis for this processing is  “appropriate communication with our customers”.

Included in the Notification Data are your name and e-mail address.

Security and personal data

All personal data that we process for the purposes outlined shall not be kept for longer than is necessary for that purpose.

The period of retention will be based on the continued communication with our customers or when it is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation.

We take appropriate technical and organisational precautions to secure your personal data and to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of this personal data.

If you are using a password to access the services contained through our trade website, you should ensure that your password is not susceptible to being guessed, whether by a person or a computer program.  You are responsible for keeping the password you use confidential and we will never ask for your password, which will be kept in encrypted form within our website.

Where does the data come from
We may ask and store your data when:

-          you make an enquiry about our products

-          we start a business relationship when you purchase our products

-          you give us your details and express your consent that you want to be contacted regarding our products and services, either in person at trade shows, by ‘phone or e-mail communication or via the opt-in form in our website, www.luxalondon.com .

How we use your data

We will use the Account Data to contact you regarding our business transactions (including sending invoices and statements)  -  we will do this by e-mail or phone.  We will use the Notification Data to inform you about our products and events through our newsletter, mainly by email.  

Your data is kept safe and will never, ever be shared with a 3rd party.

You can update your account data by sending us an email or logging into the Luxa London trade area if you have a trade account set up with us via that website.  

- We will only send you content, offers and information that relate to Luxa London.

- For notification data, we will always offer an option to update your details or to unsubscribe within the body of the e-mail sent to you.

Your right to object

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data that we carry out.  The quickest way to do this is :

-          notifying us by email (info@luxalondon.com) that you no longer want us to communicate with you regarding future business transactions.

-          unsubscribing from our newsletter (you can do this at any time by following the link at the bottom of the newsletter e-mail)
